Abstract
Die Versorgung der Menschen in der Region mit sozialer und kultureller Infrastruktur ist wieder Thema in Politik und Öffentlichkeit. Dabei sind starke räumliche Disparitäten zu beobachten. Insbesondere durch Netzwerkbildung sowie durch gemeinsame, nicht selten genosssenschaftliche Selbsthilfe sollen endogene Potenziale der Regionen aufgegriffen und gestärkt werden. Der Beitrag analysiert die besonderen Charakteristika der Genossenschaften auf ihre Fähigkeiten hin, Ressourcen und Kompetenzen lokal und in der Region zu bündeln, um in genossenschaftlicher Selbsthilfe Akteure mit ihren gemeinsamen Zielen zu organisieren.
Co-operatives as Agents of Regional Development
The provision of people in the region with social and cultural infrastructure is once again a topic of discussion in politics and the public sphere. There are strong spatial disparities. Endogenous potentials of the region are to be picked up and amplified, especially through networking and common, often co-operative, self-help. This article analyses the special characteristics of cooperatives with regard to their ability to pool resources and competencies locally and in the region, in order to organise – in cooperative self-help – agents with their common goals.
