Abstract
Der Beitrag diskutiert Konzepte zur Mikrofundierung des Neo-Institutionalismus, die ihren Ausgangspunkt in der Idee des institutionellen Unternehmers haben. Als Vergleichsfolie und Deutungsressource dient die US-amerikanische Soziologie sozialer Probleme. Auf der Grundlage herausgearbeiteter Verbindungslinien zwischen neo-institutionalistischen und problemsoziologischen Konzeptualisierungen werden zwei Vorschläge zur Weiterentwicklung der Mikroperspektive des Neo-Institutionalismus dargelegt: (1) eine Revision des Arbeitsbegriffs, um lokal situierte Praktiken und routinisierte Handlungsvollzüge besser einbeziehen zu können sowie (2) eine sprachsoziologische Ausrichtung, bei der – anstelle rhetorischer Strategien – der alltägliche Gebrauch von Begründungen in den Vordergrund gerückt wird.
This article discusses concepts of a micro-foundation of the new institutionalism stemming from the idea of institutional entrepreneurs which intentionally utilize and shape institutions. The sociology of social problems serves as a frame of reference and as a conceptual resource pool. Based on conceptual linkages between the new institutionalism and the sociology of social problems we develop two suggestions for advancing the micro-perspective of the new institutionalism: (1) a revision of the concept of work in order to better incorporate mundane local practices and routinized behaviour, and (2) a linguistic turn which – instead of focussing on rhetorical strategies – highlights on the everyday handling of accounts.
