"Allgemeine Staatslehre" or Theory of Authority? Remarks on a Recent Debate
In his review of a political science dissertation dealing with current tendencies in the recent history and present of German constitutional law doctrine, Klaus Ferdinand Gärditz recently stated that the discussion of the questions of a "general doctrine of the state", which used to be so prominently and powerfully discussed, was currently in an extremely precarious, almost sad state.
