Abstract

Untersucht werden Einflüsse auf die Intensität der religiösen Frage, also der Frage nach dem Woher und Wohin von Leben und Welt. Nach abnehmender Allgemeinheit werden drei Ebenen unterschieden: Sinnfrage, Religionsfrage und Glaubensfrage. Gemäß der starken Ressourcenhypothese sollte Ressourcenbesitz keine dieser drei Intensitäten beeinflussen; nach der schwachen Ressourcenhypothese die Intensität der Sinnfrage nicht, die der Religions- und Glaubensfrage entweder negativ oder positiv. Diese und weitere Hypothesen zum Einfluss der christlichen Sozialisation, der Reflexivität und des Lebenslaufs werden im ALLBUS 2012 überprüft. Die Ressourcenhypothese wird in der schwachen Form und mit positiven Korrelationen bestätigt. Die Intensität der Sinnfrage wird weniger gut erklärt als die der Religions- und Glaubensfrage.

Abstract

Impacts upon the intensity of the religious question, i.e. the question of the whereabouts of life and world, are examined. Three levels of decreasing generality are distinguished: meaning question, religion question and belief question. According to the strong resource hypothesis, ownership of resources should not affect any one of the three; according to the weak resource hypothesis, it should not affect the meaning question, but the religion and belief question either positively or negatively. These and some more hypotheses on the impact of Christian socialization, of reflexivity, and of the life course are examined in the ALLBUS 2012. The resource hypothesis is confirmed in its weak form, and with positive correlations. The intensity of the meaning question is less well explained than the intensity of the religion and meaning question.
