Hobbes in Carl Schmitt's Later Work - A Genesis Analysis Based on New Sources
An introductory distinction is made between Hobbesian- and Hegelian-Schmittianism in order to probe Schmitt’s late Hobbes-publications. The genesis of the review „Die vollendete Reformation“ (1965) then is clarified according to new sources, and an initial version from May 1964 is published for the first time. The paper also aims at editorial questions in dealing with Schmitt’s work.
