Abstract
A Systems Theoretical Reformulation of the Concept of Economic Styles - Money Economy and Power Economy as style-theoretical Ideal lypes During the last years in Germany attempts have been made to revive the concept of economic styles. But the present approach to the legacy of neo-historicism pays too little attention to the interdisciplinary character of the concept. The thesis of the present paper is, that sociological systems theory offers a promising foundation to reformulate the theory of economic styles. With the help of our systems theoretical ideal types „money economy" and „power economy" we hope to gain new insights into the evolutionary change of economic systems.
