Abstract
This study analysis macroeconomic effects of discriminating, voluntary export restraints (VER) on the exporting country in a system of flexible exchange-rates. The model combines micro- and macroelements and illustrates the typical aspects of the group of countries, that practices VERs (market segmentation of the export market, market power on the export market, price-taker on the import market, absence of an import substution sector etc.). It shows the conditions, which lead to expansive (contractive) supply-side-effects even if the free export price falls (increases).
