Abstract
Statistical data concerning income and productivity of resources used in agriculture are analysed and discussed with respect to the question whether those data are consistent and to what degree with the implications of the combination of farm and non farm activities of members of farm household being characteristic for many family farms. This question has to be answered in the negative as far as those official statistics have been reviewed. Proposals in order to construct income and productivity measurements consistent with those implications are suggested finally.
