Die Attraktionsanalyse. Ein mißglückter Versuch, die regionale Input-Output-Analyse zu verallgemeinern

Abstract

The regional attraction model originating from a study by Klaassen from 1967 and designed as a generalization of traditional regional input-output analysis, is logically inconsistent. The import and export equations of thc model are stated without considering non-negativity constraints. Furthermore they contradict each other, in general. A logically consistent model can be developed, based on the attration philosophy. This, however, generates a complicated and practically not applicable model type. The critical objections also hold for the interregional attraction model, a later reformulation of the regional attraction model
