Abstract
The object of this study is to analyze the short- and long-run effects of the prices of agricultural goods and of the agricultural price policy. For this we first make a model on the level of the individual farm. The empirical results are gained by simulation experiments. The results of this study show among others that an increase (decrease) of the prices of agricultural goods is in the short run followed by a decrease (increase) of the income disparity within agriculture, while in the long-run increasing (decreasing) prices are followed by the opposite effect. Finally we discuss the policy implications of the income distribution effects of agricultural prices and the price support policy of the European Communities.
