Abstract
The Problem of Market Delimitation in Price Theory
The author gives a critical evaluation of modern attempts to delimitate different markets under different conditions of imperfect competition. In detail, he critisizes the approaches of Heinrich v. Stackelberg, Joan Robinson, E. A. G. Robinson, Abbott, Arndt, Sanmann, Krelle, Triffin, Bishop, and Ott. Since theory has failed to render satisfactory solutions, the concept of reasonable interchangeability has gained practical value. The author suggests a new approach on the basis of the connection of market structure and market process.
